Hi, my name is Laura and I have been working at Trinity since 1993. I am married and have three beautiful children. I have lived in the Carson Valley area most of my life. I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno and earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. I also have a Preschool to 2nd grade Nevada teaching license.
I love the field of Early Childhood and I feel very strongly that young children should have a high-quality early childhood experience. This is why I have enjoyed my many years at Trinity. Not only do we have a high-quality program, but we are also able to share the love of Jesus with each other and the children.
During my free time, I enjoy reading, gardening and spending time with my family.
I’m Suzie Adam and I am the Church Office Coordinator for Trinity Lutheran. My family moved from Pennsylvania to Carson City in 1960. I grew up with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. We all attended Bethlehem Lutheran Church, picnicked at Lake Tahoe and had BBQ’s at Bowers Mansion. I love this area!
I spent 30 plus years in different levels as an Administrative Assistant, with a brief period as a dispatcher for the Nevada Highway Patrol.
I graduated from Concordia University, Irvine, CA in 1993 (I was a nontraditional student) with a BA degree in Liberal Studies and a concentration in elementary level teaching. I returned to Carson City in 1993 and worked with the State Government. I retired from State service in 2014. In September 2016, I came to work at Trinity and have enjoyed every minute of being with a loving, caring Christian family!
I like to spend time with my family and friends, and sing in my church choir.
We are currently looking for a part-time organist. For more information please contact the church office (775) 782-8153.
Rodger Banes is our choir director as of October 17, 2018. As you will find by my accent, I am a Nevada transplant. I am originally from Mississippi, lived 14 years in Texas until we followed my son and his family out here to be close to our grandchildren.
I began Voices of the Sierra, a community choir here in the valley, in 2013 and this will be our 6th Christmas season. Leading choir has been my passion and life’s career for many years. I am looking forward to leading you in worship. We will be singing once a month in the two services.
